Vice President, Business Development

	Description:
	Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President of Business Development will be responsible for the overall management of the Company’s domestic and international business development. Responsibilities: Serve as a key member of the executive team that sets the company’s strategic direction Spearhead business development initiatives that are consistent with the company’s overall strategy and global business development strategy Develop new markets, sectors, and customers Development of strategic partnerships internally with Engineering Operations and Product Groups, as well as externally with key customers Manage complex contract negotiation and work with legal counsel as required Lead and develop the business development team

	Experience/Skill Requirements:
	Technical competence: 15-20 years related experience: engineering development, sales, marketing, business development or consulting Preferred industries: firearms, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or high tech; experience with government contracting knowledge preferred Track record of building new business Demonstrated collaboration and influencing skills required Entrepreneurial, enthusiastic, risk-taker Strategic, able to envision a future different than today, but patient enough to get us there! Good multi-tasker with exceptional organizational skills Strong change agent

	Education:
	Bachelor’s degree in related field (Engineering or Business degree preferred), MBA preferred
