- Review and approve proposed import and export transactions
- Act as an empowered official for the company
- Coordinate with customers to obtain required export and import documentation in support of export license applications to both Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) and Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS)
- Work with outside consultants and third parties to develop and implement plans to achieve company objectives
- Generate license application documents (DSP-5, DSP-73, MLA, TAA, etc.) for submission and monitor applications through the approval process
- Interface with government licensing agencies (DDTC and BIS) for interpretations and questions
- Ensure that shipments are executed within the scope and provisos of export authorization
- Implement and maintain and export compliance program
- Ensure that shipments are not released prior to obtaining government authorization
- Ensure that records relating to exports are completed, submitted to the appropriate agencies as required, and maintained for the required retention period
- Maintain current knowledge of export regulations and industry issues and implement a training program for company employees relative to export compliance
- Supervise subordinates as required
- Perform other duties as requested.
