Description:

Provide technical leadership managing the complete engineering lifecycle across multiple product lines. Develop and manage project plans and drive to ensure project milestones are met Participate in the recruiting of engineering resources and their utilization
- Creates and/or modifies all types of gun designs using CAD drafting tools. This includes the design of components as well as the selection of materials to be used in the final products.
- Supports and coordinates activities with the manufacturing engineering staff as required.
- Works closely with manufacturing to resolve production problems related to tooling, cutters, speeds and feeds
- Tests and evaluates functions of product prototypes.
- Develops and executes project plans/schedules to satisfy design project requirements.
- Provides technical support to internal and external customers.

Skills:

|
The successful candidate must be a high energy, creative, resourceful and organized engineering design professional. The ability to multi-task and to manage several projects simultaneously is a must.
The new incumbent must bring strong analytical tools and well developed communications skills, both verbal and written, are key.
Must have demonstrated skills in 3D/Solid Modeling using SolidWorks, Pro E or a compatible CAD system.
Knowledge of Geometric Modeling would be a plus. Should be familiar with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Mechanism software as required in firearms design.

Education:

|
A Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required. |
|
|
|
Experience:
|
|
Requires a minimum of 8-10 years of product design and product engineering experience in a firearms design capacity or related products. Background in design for manufacturability is necessary.
